How does Macbeth use regicide?

Macbeth kills King Duncan because Macbeth wants to be king. As an audience we know that Macbeth can't be king because he do not have the 'divine rights of king'.Macbeth ends up killing Duncan as he is pressured by his own wife Lady Macbeth to kill Duncan because Lady Macbeth wants to fulfill her needs into becoming queen.
Killing a king or queen is committing treason and the punishment for that is being killed and a the end of the pla we know that Macbeth ends up being killed by Macduff.

This creates a cathartic ending at the end of the play.
